Cadillac Kill
So I was on the way to a movie (Windtalkers...wasn't as great as expected) in my '01 HD and I pulled up next to a Cadillac Escalade EXT. I was looking at the guy and he nodded and started "bucking". So the light turned green and we both punched it. I pulled about 1 1/2 - 2 car lengths ahead of him and he just sat there behind me up to 80 and we both braked for the next red light. We both rolled down are windows and I said "You kinda messed up on the start" and he said "Well, I was distracted by my wife who was sucking my ****" - His wife replied to his comment with a straightforward "Bull****".
I think that he thought I was a '02 because when I said "I know you have more power than me" he said that "You have 340HP"...I was like..."No, but I have 350 torque"

Cadillac Escalade EXT seem to be related to Chevy Avalanche. Spec wise they both seem OK (I never test drove either one), but my close encounters on freeways with them were rather easy even though they were trying VERY hard.

nice kill ricekicker. From what i understand, the new chevy SS truck will also have the same 345hp engine as the escalade, and be extended cab and heavy also. Was the escalade you beat the 345?

Yes...it was a 2002 Cadillac Escalade EXT (6.0L V8 w/ 345HP & 380torque) I understand that my engine doesn't compare to the power he is making but I guess his launch and weight killed him. These trucks having identical times in 0-60 and 1/4 but what can I say?...I know how to launch i guess.

I just bought and 02 escalade, and there are two engine choices. I got the bigger one it is i think 345 hp, and it is a little bit quicker than my 00 hd f150. But, then again if you cant launch all the power in the world aint going to save you.

harleyvette...you are right, '02 Escalade comes with either 5.3 or 6.0 - But I didn't race an Escalade, I raced the Escalade EXT which is the pickup version of the Escalade and only comes with AWD 6.0L - He should of won...but didn't (I'm stock)
