steering wheel

I had a 2000 L before I purchased the 2002 H and really liked the steering wheel from the L much better.

Has anyone tried to replace the steering wheel, or does anyone know how to (with respect to the airbag?

Not sure what the 00 L steering wheel looked like, but the 00 HD wheel was the same as the 02's wheel, except for the 02 has the jeweled emblem, and the 00 just has the imprint. The 01's have the nicest wheel IMO cuz its 4 spokes instead of 2 like 00 and 01, and also has the jeweled emblem.

I dunno about that. Maybe somebody else does, or ask your dealer. I don't think there will be a problem

356: the lightning steering wheel is much nicer than the "pleather" HD steering wheel... IMHO

Just noticed in some pics the 02 doesn't have the jeweled emblem. I saw a few pics before where it did. Weird.

Anyway, yeah, Clonetek. I agree. The L wheel is alot nicer. Wonder why they don't put the same ones on the HD.
