Angry Check Engine Soon Light

On my way home last night from a buddy’s house I stopped to get a coffee. When I got back in the Truck and turned it on the Check Engine Soon Light stayed on. The Truck was running fine and all the gauges where showing normal. The light was still on this morning so I dropped it at a dealer near work to have it checked out right away. So they shuttle me back to my office in, get this, a stretched limo. Talk about service.
I hope there is nothing seriously wrong with the Truck. Last year the Engine Light came on the transmission had to be replaced, and I had to drive a Taurus Station wagon for two weeks. I pay to much for this Truck to be driving that.

I will post any result I get as soon as I hear from the dealer.

Talking Speaking of rental cars....

My bro has had a few problems with his L a few months back, and he was stuck with some pos taurus as well.... We just made the best of it at the time and played around in the rental car. Probably shouldnt be saying this, but if you go about 30-40 mph in those little cars and throw the hand break, woo hooo, you better hold on, hahaha, it skids like a ****... HAHHA, I think that was the only highlight of the whole time he had that car. Just thought I would share..

P.S. Hope the truck is ok and gets out of the shop soon....

I went to pick up my Truck tonight after they called me to say it was ready. They found some emission sensor that was causing the light to come on, which they replaced.
I get in the Truck and turn it on, drive off the dealer lot, and the light comes back on. They hook it back up to the computer and now it was posting some other codes. They gave me a rental so I left it there for the night. Once again I am driving a Taurus. No power what’s so ever.

To be continued…

ah, that stinks. hopefully you'll get it back soon. I hate leaving my truck at the dealers. Last time i left it overnight to get a paint defect fixed, they put 90 miles on the truck. !!!

goodluck

You guys should do what I do. When I have to take the vehicle in I just bring it in with just enough gas to get there and back. LOL. Anytime I go it's always on empty. And I keep track of the milage. Bet they don't want to run out of gas on a joyride!
