perf. ugrading my 02 HD?

I JUST picked up my 02 HD supercrew in dark gray. Holy cow this a cool truck. I was going to put a supercharger on my supercrew, but changed my mind and went this route instead.

why can we not change the upper pulley? that is the only diff from the stock lightning engine from what I have read.

At some point in a week or two I will dyno this thing to see what it has so I have a baseline...

<====thats me!

congrats on your new ride, post pics when ya can. There are a few differences between teh L and HD, you can search back a few pages to find them.

here's a few
1. upper pully (you can ruin the bearings or something if you change it, but you can do the lower one)
2. lower air dam smaller
3. chip
4. longer exhaust
and various other things.
congrats

Hi ken800,

I think you have some bad info, you can indeed change the blower pulley and pretty easily at that as long as you use a proper tool to fully support the back of the pulley to keep it "square" on the shaft as it's pressed off. However, most owners are doing the lower pulley first, usually a 4# crank pulley, and then do the blower pulley later on if they want even more boost. You can do it however you prefer, of course.

We can already supply virtually any performance part you could want for that 2002 HD supercharged model, give us a quick call when you get a chance to go over all the available options, etc.

The primary difference between your HD model (340 HP) and the Lightning (380 HP) affecting power output is the tuning. The Superchip alone will basically put the HD model up to the Lightning's power level.

Congratulations on your new HD model, that is a *way* beyond cool truck, I'm almost drooling over it and I have an '01 Lightning! I'd love to have that 4-dr. Lightning, as we call them, it's so much more practical and it's performance can be made equally Earth-shattering.

Have fun!

Thanks, Mike!

I will get my superchip in the mail to you shortly for a reburn from the screw code...

I want to put 500 or so on it before i slap it in, though...

PS, did you get my email, Mike?
