How Many Actually Own A Harley?

Just out of curiosity, how many of the HD Screw owners actually own a Harley? In my area of Northern California, I have been seeing a lot of girls and guys I wouldn't think own a Harley, driving these trucks around.

Is this posing or fronting? I kinda think it is. I don't look at the HD truck in the same light as say and Eddie Bauer. Just my opinion and I wanted to see what the consensus was...

No motorcycle in my garage... and no desire for one. I bought the truck because it is a S'crew and is supercharged. Not because it has HD plastered all over it.

Are all HD Screws Supercharged? Or just the gray ones with the flames?...

I own a Triumph. It's not a Harley but, it'll do. Besides I bought the HD F-150 because I liked it and could afford to pay for it!
And by the way, I pose my *** off it it

I have a 1999 Road King Classic with more mods than my wife will ever know. However, the only reason why I bought one vs. a lightning or anything else is that it has four doors( two kids ) and I love the way looks, rides, and it motors smartly thank you. I would have bought it regardless if I have a HD or not...

Hey Baddgene,

I wasn't trying to be insulting just merely wondering outloud...

Also, with the amount of money we all put into our trucks some (svt owners) more than others, i would have to say that most of us can afford to pay for it. I can afford an NSX; but, that doesn't mean I want one... I am holding out for the new Viper...

Actually, when I wrote this this morning, I didn't realize the '02s were blown. That is something I learned today. Please, don't take offense to my post as I was wondering how everyone felt.

The s*charger makes a bit of a difference as Slingshot points out. Where else are you going to get a stock blown crew-cab?...

I did it the other way around....I ride a 2002 Fat Boy but I wanted 4wd. That '02 HD screw motor might have given me something to think about though. Frankly, if I had bought the HD truck, it would have been only because it was a HD truck...it just doesn't suit my needs in snowy Michigan. then again, I don't buy into much of anything HD markets EXCEPT their bikes

I bought my gray 02 because of the supercharger. The HD connection kinda works for me as I'm an avid motorcylist but, I don't own a harley. I'm just not into cruzers. I like old school two valve push rod twins though!

Kirkoman,

You have a Buell though. That's a Sportster in wolves' clothing, correct?

Slvrnblckf150,

Yeah, but unlike a Sportster the Buell rails around corners and stops hard enough to lift the rear wheel! Most unreliable motorcycle I ever owned though. And yet it's still my favorite. OK, OK it's because it has a Harley Davidson Sportster engine and sound.

I can't see anyone buying a $35,000 truck to make people think they own a $18,000 motorcycle....unless of course their wives wear the pants in the house and won't let them have a motorcycle.

I can't let ya slide on the quote SlvrnBlk.....what exactly is it that makes them look like they wouldn't own a Harley. You've never seen a chick on a bike? Or a stock broker? Or a minister? Look around dude.

I bought my HD F150 cause it had 4 seats, looked kick-***, had the HD stuff all over it, and I could save a bundle getting it on a Z plan.

As far as I'm concerned, you don't have to have a Harley, any bike will do. I'm not all hung up on people having to ride HD. I like all bikes (except the posier Jap bikes that TRY to look like Harleys). At least they could be original.

And I may have a few bikes as well.

I ride...just not a harley.

Harleys arent even in the same league compared to the performance of todays jap sportbikes.

Different strokes for different folks I suppose.

SlvrnBlckF150, owning a HD truck and not a motorcycle isn't posing or fronting at all. I got the HD truck because i LOVED the looks of it. It wouldn't have matter if it said harley on it or not, thats just an added bonus. I can barely afford my truck, but i loved the looks of it so much i couldn't resist, and i'm still struggling to keep her and buy a hood, so there's no way in he!! that i can own a 25K HD cycle to go with it. My friend that has a 02 HD doesn't own a harley because he can't ride one, he hurt his back and so he cant ride. Callin him a poser because he has the truck and not the bike would most likely offend him.

o yeah, the HD's also came in s-cab the 1st year, instead of screw, just fyi, and ALL 02's whether they are black or gray are supercharged.
