Sensitive stuff here

Hi All,

In all my years of riding (36) the whole Harley, rice, clone, biker, poser, quality, relaibility, performance, topic has been the one that seems to draw the extreme responses. Now we can add the logo/owner debate? Time to let that go dudes!

I am surpised to learn how many owners of F150HDs are not motorcycle or Harley owners as well. But I should not be. If you want 4 door 1/2 pickup with style and real performance (read supercharger) what are the choices?

I know many true bikers (those living the life style) resent all the Rubbies intruding on their world but, lets not loose sight of the fact that it is those people buying Harley shirts and stickers that helped make Harley the remarkable success it is today. Man I wish I bought some Harley stock back in the 80s!

either jealous or just wants to stir up trouble. I'm done in here.

HEMIUK, nice pics of your HD and HD cycle. Sucks that you need license plates that are that huge. I like the side marker lights under the emblems that i guess the importer put on. Not so sure about the two colored lights on the bumper. But still looks good. Nice bike

Cool The family rides

I ride a 1999 Road King Classic. A dream bike on the road. My wife rides a 1995 Sportster Custom.

We *both* ride the HD truck and take our daughter and dog with us at the same time.

Life is good.

Dudes, you are misinterpreting the spirit inwhich I started the post...

Again, my intention was to say, "Do you guys agree, or do I need to change my thinking on this...". Unfortunately, I worded it in kind of an accusational or antagonistic sort of way and that was not my intention. I did rant a bit in one of my earlier replies, and have since apologized. I have also stated that after reading some of the responses, I can see that I should be viewing the HD package in the same manner as the King Ranch or an Eddie Bauer Expy. What's more, I am certainly not jealous nor am I trying to stir-up trouble. While they are really nice trucks, I personally wouldn't want one without a Road King to go with it.

HarleyGuy,

Sweet Road King, now of that I am jealous! I bet you just have hours of uninterrupted cruising in Northwest Iowa. That would be nice!

Hemiuk,

Nice setup! Was it a pain in the butt to get both overseas?

Talking

Just got my HD F150 to compliment my 98 Harley Dyna. Don't get to ride as much as I used to so this allows me the best of both worlds.

NO NOT A PROBLEM AT ALL THE TRUCK I HAVE NOW FOUND OUT CAME IN VIA A DEALER IN CANADA SO IT HAS A KPH CLOCK (A PAIN IN THE *** BUT HEY) AND THE BIKE CAME FROM A DEALERSHIP HERE IN ENGLAND. I SEE WHERE YOUR COMING FROM, BUT YOU DON'T HAVE TO HAVE ONE TO APPRECIATE THE OTHER. GUESS I'M LUCKY IN AS MUCH AS I HAVE BOTH. I HAVE RUN AMERICAN CARS FROM THE AGE OF 21 AND AM NOW 40 THE BIKE CAME LATER FIRST ONE ABOUT 10 YEARS BACK AND WITH A FAMILY I CAN COMBINE BOTH SORRY ALL THREE

When I was looking at trucks I was checking out Lariats. Then I saw the HD-F150. Love at first sight. The most awesome truck I'd ever seen. Now it's mine. No bike, just a truck. My Lincoln has died from neglect and soon on its way to the boneyard.

Wink

Well I ride a Harley but I drive a Lightning. If they made the 02 supercharged screw in 00 when I bought my Lightning than that is what I would have for one of my play toys.
To me it really doesn't matter if the people who drive the Harley trucks do own and ride a Harley motorcycle, it would be a bonus though. The Harley trucks are sweet and make a great choice for someone who needs more room, but the Lightning will always be the King of the road when it comes to performance. Just my .02 cents.
Bill

Here is a pic of my 00 Harley, to many mods to list and this picture was taken over a year ago and it has a lot more mods since then. 107 h.p. and 114 foot lbs of torque, with 2 dyno shootout trophies to back her up, 2nd place in 2000 and 1st in 01 and soon to place in 02.

I have NO Harley. I'm a proud Honda CBR1000F owner...

I am planning a custom Harley project. I was looking at the PitBull over the weekend.

Just selecting the rolling chassis that I want, engine CC, and tranny.. About a 5 year project at this point..

Not a Harley

My ride is a '99 Honda Valkyrie Interstate - the best cruiser on steriods on the planet. I didn't want to put a Harley in the back of the HD Supercharged truck because I didn't want to be cleaning up the dripping oil spots all of the time.

I like Harleys - they are beautifully finished. But, as you can see they're just not my kind of ride.

02 Ford SVTF150 Lightning

Then again, I don't drive a HD F150, either.

ymmv.

Check out the pics of my Harley! It is 1 of 25 ever made. Painted and badged to match the 01 HD F-150. I don't have an HD 150, but a 99 F150 4x4 Lariat.
