Mod Shots
Because the stock coils are controlled individually through the truck CPU it adjusts itself. The CPU has an input that comes from a sensor in the exhaust that indicates how much fuel is combusted in the engine. This sensor is common in all late model cars and trucks. The sensor relays the info back to the CPU and adjusts the output to each individual coil. This sensor can be manipulated very easily in most vechicles. (most turbo or supercharger suppliers sell electronic adjustable fuel/air ratio gauges. They look like rader detectors.) Im sure they have something for Fords. Im a Honda P.A.C.T. (professionally authorized and certified tech.) I got my so-called degree from Robert Morgan Vocational Tech. School in Miami. It was a hobby thing. Im still in College and am upper management in the construction field so dont ask why Honda. Besides it was Miami. Nobody drives trucks in Miami unless they are a sports pro. with a mack daddy truck. Dont hold me to everything I said because like i Wrote in another reply im just recently (last year or so) getting into fords. I think im right though because thats why your engine light comes on if you run very high octane fuel(av. gas or racing fuel) with the stock chip in the CPU.. The fuel dosnt all combust and the sensor does its job. I try and check more into it .
