Talking dropped my harley

Well I did it! I tore into my new truck. She only has 500 miles. I ordered a 1-2 drop from Ground Force. It doesn't sound like a lot, but it made a world of difference in the looks. It only took 2 1/2 hours for the front and back. If any body needs their truck lowered in the DC/Maryland/Virginia area, let me know and I'll do it for next to nothing. Why pay some shop $500 +?
I also took the muffler off and installed a X pipe and she is sounding better everyday or I'm just getting used to it. Why spend the money for the mufflers with a built in X when you can just put the X pipe in place of the muffler?
Well, sorry for the long post but I'm just excited about getting one of these trucks. I could look at it all day. I'll get some photos up of the lowering and X pipe as soon as possible.

Hey, I'm lookin to do a 1/2 drop to my 01. I was going with a belltech though. Post some pics, I would love to see. Did you have to put the pinion shim on the rear?? What were the part numbers and where did you get them. I'm also going to add a sway bar to the rear.

No pinion shims were required, I drove it 100 miles today and I had no vibrations. I picked up the kit from a local shop and it cost me 199.00 and it came with front bumpstops, 1 inch coil's and 2 inch hangers. It is ground force kit # 9902. 1 inch in the front is plenty low and I like them low, you could go 3 inches in the rear but I wouldn't go any lower. Like I said I'm real happy with the results.

Hey Lucky, you said hangers in the back, these weren't shackles?? Hangers look like a lot of work to replace. I'm thinking of just going shakles.

Got any pics yet?? Also, how did you do the front coils, what's the process? I'm ordering first of June to install before my son comes back on leave from the Marines. I want him to see a bitchin truck. I might go with the Ground Force instead of Belltech. I've not heard anything bad about either one.

Since we are on the topic of lowering....

Has anyone lowered their truck with an airbag system? I always figured it would be ideal for someone like me that drives their truck in winther and need the extra ground clearance but with the ability to drop it in the summer for road hugging fun.
