Question Tonneau Covers

Can anybody recomend a high quality hard tonneau cover? I saw one that fit nice and tight over the plastic bed caps but it had no brand name. This web page lists a bunch but, would like to get input from somebody with experience on a 01 or 02 HD. Thanks for the help

MY01BOLT put a ******* lid on her Lighning and her husband put one on his 02 HD and they look sweet. You might want to give them a call. If you go to MY01BOLT's gallery you will see pics of it there.

I'm about half-way through installing my Prosport cover by Innovation Industries (as well as my Bedrug)... so far looks real nice, smooth finish, factory color matched, went with the optional fully lined underside and pull straps. Really dig the little spoiler at the rear lip. Will post pics when finished. I also liked the SnugLid and *******'s... the spoiler sold me on the Innovation. Didn't really care for the A.R.E. IMHO--too high in the middle with the 'hump'. Good luck!

Uh, I'll bet you've answered this before. - but...

Hey, Harleyrules, I was looking at your considerable list of mods and it made me curious what the black Ford emblems look like. Could you please post a pic of it if you have one? Sounds like my type of thing.

Thanks much!
Don

I put on an A.R.E. lid with a spoiler. You can see some pics in my gallery.

Talking

Just installed my snug lid today. What a good fit all around. Considering the distance travelled to get to me it was in prefect shape.

clonetek--Thanks for the advice... I paid close attention and adjusted it very carefully--fits great! No rubs, not even close. You do have to be careful though, their instructions are pretty weak. I installed the L tails and Bedrug at the same time--the gray carpet matches the underside lining of the cover nearly perfect. It is worth the effort though--cruised thru the local Sonic this evening after finishing and had a couple of teenagers literally chase me down on foot wanting to know what kind of cover it was... had a crowd gather around and ooh and aah over the truck . Gotta admit I kinda liked that.

I recently bought an '02 CX gray HD, and i ordered the Leer tonneau from the dealership at their cost. Anyone know something about this particular cover. I'vve had ARE lids before, and the workmanship on them was horrible - the paint always chipped and the fiberglass cracked on one of them twice. Went with a snuglid on my last truck, but for some reason it seemed that it didn't fit the bed right.

thanks all

I was told the leer tonneau for the HD, at least the older models, was not as good as the leer 700. Hopefully the dealer is getting you a 700. Let us know. I order a 700 this week and it should be here in a couple of weeks.
