Any Lightning transmission mod is a direct fit for the H/D, the L and the H/D use the same transmission.

Hey:

Before anyone gets too crazy with their H/D, I would highly recommend a driveshaft loop. The Ls are having trouble with their driveshafts, and it isn't a two piece deal like the HD.

Ok, Let me go ahead and sound like the ignorant one; what the heck is a driveshaft loop?

Hey:

Basically a driveshaft loop is a loop of steel that goes around the driveshaft (crazy, huh?). It's purpose is to protect the underside of the car (or truck in this case) in the event that the driveshaft should break.

It will also prevent your truck pole-vaulting should the front u-joint break loose under speed.

This is mostly done in drag racing, but with the aforementioned 2 piece on your truck, its probably just a good idea, especially considering that there are several that are cheap, and easy to put on.

I once saw an old Fairlane lose it's driveshaft about halfway down the track-didn't have a loop. Car was totally f'ed up.

Most of the lightning performance shops sell 'em.
