Question How do I remove the rear console?

Hi all and happy new year!

Solution to not getting a camper and keeping my dogs dry was removing the rear seats when necessary. Quite simple, 14 half inch bolts in all.

I was pressed for time and could not figure out how to remove the rear console. Wondering if any of you have done it and if you'd be nice enough to do a quick step by step summary.

Thanks!

Hey Rob... JL Audio should be coming out with a sub specifically made for our rear console in the next couple months. It will include one 10W3 and our console will fit right over it. I can't wait!

I removed my rear console and built a custom sub box to replace the frame of the console, so I have taken the entire thing out. I put in a 12, much nicer than a 10

Basically remove the two 8mm (?) bolts, one on each side, toward the bottom rear of the console.
Remove the lid from the console (torx screws).
Behind where the lid was there are two more torx screws. Remove those.
Remove the four screws that hold the tabs visible in the above picture.
You should now be able to remove the outer skin of the console and will be left with the frame.
Take out the rubber bottom in the bucket of the console and remove the screws that are exposed.
Now remove the four screws that hold the console frame to the cab floor.

This is really a lot of work, so I wouldn't recommend doing this often. I did this from memory, so if I missed one or two things, I'm sorry.

Hope this helps.
