Ram Air Hood

I'm planning on getting a FUNCTIONAL ram air hood by cervinis for my hd, and i happened to see this one on a L today. His isn't functional, he just took the screens off, but the paint job is awsome. I wonder how that would look on the harley but in an orangish or redish color, but i'd want it almost a ghost flame like how this one is from a distance.

Talking I think it would look great!

I think the reddish or maybe greyish from the 2001 would look great for a ghost flame. Have you considered a shaker hood?

I really like the shaker hood idea and all, but it doesn't quite fit my image of a harley truck. althought it would be pretty fat on a lifted f150 with huge swamper tires. I am definately going with the cervinis ram air hood because its funtional looks awsome, and isn't that bad price wise. and the ghost flame on the hood keeps seeming like a nicer and nicer idea

I have the Cervini ram-air on my Lightning. They have not released the ram-air kit to make the hood functionable yet. The fit of the hood was great and the finish was even better. You will not be dissapointed. You might try to a ram-air kit from johhnylightningperf.com , Their ram-air kit is Awesome!! I got nearly 2-3 mpg better on the highway and alot of throttle response. Hope this helps-Neil

nminor, my friend has a cervinis ram air hood on his f150, and his IS functional. He said it cost a 100 extra dollars to do it, and the setup is pretty nice and looks awsome

i like the ram air hoods alot...they look great on the lightnings but i dont know how they would look on a harley....i would love to see one. when you order them do they come painted? or do you need to take it to a body shop? if you end up putting the hood on your hog post pics so i can see.

2000F150HD, the hoods don't come painted, but i think they come primed. also when i get it (don't count on it anytime really soon though) i'll definately post some pics. There's another harley in the next town over that has one though. If i can meet up w/ him again, i'll take some pics, but trust me it looks good. Maybe a photoshop pro can do some magic.

I have made several modifications on my 00 HD, but have left everything else with a stock appearance, but this particular Cervini hood looks awsome. I am seriously thinking of ordering it, but have myself in a mess with a 4 Link Air Ride suspension setup at the present time which I am trying to get fixed. When I turn the front wheels, the inside of the rim rubs on the shock. If someone does put this hood on their HD, I would be interested in a picture.
