Just thought some of you's might wanna check out the Lighting forum "Harley w/SC at SEMA" Some of dem L folks be bustin on us HD folks I had to get a word or two or page and a half in on it. lol

I have been following that thread beause it always ends up on the top of the current message search. They are children over there and it isn't worth our time (HD owners) to change their attitude. If you really want to honk them off and drop to their level you can say that the HD could kick the L owners' a$$ because we outnumber them. With the addition of the 12000 happy HD owners this year we really have the numbers on them.

 

Yeah its pretty funny, but i'm not going to drop to their level. just having some fun

First off....Dodge trucks are junk. They are no contest for Ford and Chevy trucks, but they've only bit in the market for like 8 years or so.

I really dont see how L owners see this new truck as a "threat" There is no way that this HUGE truck can match the speed or handling of the agile Lightning.

 

I agree, they are being total babies over there. All whiney just becuse ford is expanding their market of the s/c to just one more limited production truck. i mean it would be different if they put the s/c on EVERY ford truck, but they aren't. they need to grow up a little.

 

Actually there are very little L owners whining on the L board. Most of us just stay out those threads and let them fizzle out. Don't judge the rest of us.
BTW, We just had a nonnitrous lightning hit 11.73. We fear very little. By the rate we are progressing, I estimate we will have a 10 sec L this time next year. See you on the road guys. Lastly, nice trucks, I think your interiors are great.

Shorty, first off, i'm not busting on the L, i think they are very Hott trucks, and i'd love to have one if i had the money. secondly, i didn't make it seem to sound that i said all of the L owners were whining. just meant to say some of em. And the reason i'm over there isn't to drop to their level. I think it's pretty funny and i'm just having fun. no harm meant to be done.

 

Did you read about that guy who modified up his Lightning, blew out a sparkplug, then blew the engine and had Ford void his warranty??

not trying to offend any of the L owners, but did you happen to read what i said about the L owners who were complaining? I said that they were starting to whine louder than their super charger whines. i crack myself up. lol

 

Guys, didn't want you to think I came over here to give anyone a hard time. I don't take much of this serious. Just a great place to meet people who can appreciate good rides and share information. If you come to Quantico, VA and see a white L with a short stubby short haired guy, stop me and I'll buy you a cold one.

Yeah those spark plugs are popping left and right. And the dealers aren't very receptive to people who mod the heck out of their trucks either. I decided early not to mod too much and stay healthy; it's paid off. I'll let the other guys break the records. To each his own.

I'm sorry if i sounded harsh in the other posts, i didn't mean to give anyone a hard time. The only reasons i'm over there is because it is pretty funny, and because this hd forum was gettin kinda slow with the posts so i decided to have a little fun in the L forum about the harleys. no harm meant to be done, and btw, nice truck
