For sure post some pics of the neon lights. I was always wondering how that would look. YTa I'm also considering trying one of the light up ford symbols. Do they look cheap???

they look just like the stock emblem till you turn it on..
you can see mine glowing a little in my sig pic.
i'm gonna put one on mine and his tailgate and one on his grille.
heres a pic of my emblem & neons..

the emblem in the pic has been replaced with a new one.
not sure what happened to it, but part of it stopped glowing.
(replaced under warranty)

That does look good. You did a good job with the neon lights. Some people when installing put them in stupid places. Just doesn't look right. You did a great job with yours. Looks totally good.

Do you know if they lighted Ford emblem comes in different colours. I would really like to get one in Orange.

Hi there !
I'm really pissed off now! I've been waiting for my cover for 6 months now and I figured by the time we went for the fun run I might have it! I don't. Just wait till I corner the rep from ford!!!!!

Got my cover installed for 00 HD and started to wax and polish it, when I happened to read the pamphlet from Leer. They say to wait 90 days before wiping or waxing the tonneau cover. Has anyone else paid any attention to this or have you gone ahead and waxed the cover?

Got my cover 2 weeks ago and it is SAWEET! Had to wait over a year for it though I have to take it back to get it adjusted though. How difficult is it to put in a lighted logo in the grill? and how do you take the old one out?

harley#356: take off the plastic cover that goes over the radiator/grill.
reach inbetween the radiator and grill with a socket & loosen the old emblem.
put the new one on with the supplied hardware.
the instructions will tell you how to use the new hardware and how to wire it up.

i put one on my tailgate last week, and wired it to the same switch.. it looks killer!

thanks clonetek, I was also wondering how you have to run the wiring for the light up emblem in the rear.

since i have a bedcover and bedrug, i ran my wire behind the carpet in the bed.. if you don't have a bedrug, you can run it along the frame till you get it in the cab.

if you need any help, just ask..

I waited about a month, then I hit the sucker with a coat of Mother's step #2, then with a coat of step # 3 (pure Carnuba wax). Looks terrific and haven't had any problems yet.
