Gotta make an update to this thread now that I'm running 93 octane fuel on a SCT with custom 93 tunes. 1,400 miles logged, 16.6 mpgs. 60% city 40%hwy. MAYBE 50% city 50% hwy at best.... So happy with it!

I thought I had purchased a F150 2012 with a 5.0 Litre V8. Only till I added just today, a K&N Intercooler, did I realize I had a 6.2 Litre. My truck is as basic as it gets. I don't know how tyhis E85 Model wound up with the Monster Engine which I thought was only Std. with the Raptor. Anyway, around Atlanta I am getting 16.5MPH and hope with the new intake system, I will be able to do even better not to mention the increased HP which the truck really doesn't need.

I just posted in your other thread where you said you had a 5.0 with 6.2 stickers under the hood.

The motors look nothing alike, they are both clearly labeled, and the intake system you bought won't work on both... so which do you have?

BTW - through a very cold winter with long idle times, remote starts, and a lot of playing in the snow - I'm getting 12.2 based on the dash. I don't dare hand calculate.

The mpg numbers on your dad's Raptor are pretty dang good man, but those numbers on your 5.0 are ASTOUNDING! Do y'all do a lot of rural driving? I'd have to say those are the best mpgs I've ever heard of in a 5L.

2012 here with 49k I average 14.4-15.2 mixed but on highway trips I'm averaging 16.2 only mods are k&n drop in and flowmaster 50 series with all stock piping. 4wd version

My commute to work is only 4 miles, so in winter it is barely up to full temperature by the time I get there.
10.0 in winter
11.0 in summer
14-16 on the highway.
Still don't want a twin turbo V-6!
