headlight aiming

OK, riddle me this..installed the lightning headlights. very easy. Aiming them is another question. There are 4mm studs coming thru the truck, hard to access. The vertical aiming isn't too bad, but the horizontal is almost unreachable. I also tried to measure the studs on the old assemblies, match the new, and then install, but then it's next to impossible for the locking bar to drop down and lock. Knowing Ford, they probably have a 4mm wrench that is 8" long for this task.
Any ideas?

Question

How about some 1/4" extensions on a screw driver (socket type). That was what I had to use on my Ranger one time. Just enough room to squeeze the ext.'s between housing and shroud, then pop the socket on once its in place.

Light measurement

I couldn't find any standards staying what the headlamps are to adjusted to.

Is the center of the beam supposed to be at the height of the center of the headlamp at 25 feet?
