If the salesman did his job you would have known about the features of RDS without having to read the owners manual. Think about it, you paid over $30,000.00 for your vehicle and you dont even know how the radio operates. Just think about it.

For most people that 30k is the most money they will ever spend next to there home. And some salesman does not even show them the operation of the radio

I sold Ford vehicles and showed everyone the operation of the RDS on the test drive. AND you know what. they might not have even bought the vehicle but they knew how the RDS worked

you pay good money and the guy made a great commision off you. Dont you think he should have done something else than asked for a good survey!

Eh....I suppose it would have been nice. However the RDS feature was not my main reason for purchasing the truck I do get what your saying however.

I only paid 27.5 for mine. Maybe thats why the salesman was lazy?

hay jax

sounds like you got yours for invoice
did you get the rebate
the dealer still gets hold back
what about interest rate
the dealer may have got a reserve on the interest rate

the salesman made money
the dealer made money
dont fool yourself, you got a great deal and if the salesman was lazy, that should have been his last sale ever.

This is for anyone,
if a salesman makes you think he is not making money on a deal and shorts you on service. walk away from the deal and dealer.

every one makes money when a vehilce is sold,
how else you think they stay in business.
the dealers are stealing your trades and grossing on the sales, EVERY sale

I didn't know how to use the RDS either until a friend of mine was reading the owner's manual (I'm a throw the manual away type guy). I personally don't listen to the radio anyway so it isn't much of an option for me and beides the only stations in my area that have that technology are the "freak" or "light hits" stations.

Now that you know about the RDS and Speed Sensative Volume, do you know about the real time gauge readouts thru the mileage area

Hold in the trip reset button as you start the truck, then you can toggle thru realtime
info such as RPM, TEMP, OIL Pressure, etc.

I also heard this is a way you can pull error codes off the computer when the SES light comes on.

Question

So MR.Xtruky,i thank you for telling us that cool trick with the odometer,BUT how can I find out what it all means. It's abreviated and in codes.Where can I find the meaning of life for my Harley truck? If there were problams with truck this could be very useful info to have before subjecting yourself to the mercey of the dreaded FORD DEALER.

Does anyone know if the overhead temp and compass console has any other uses. When I start the truck, it flashes and the LED has more displays that the temp, compass, and compass calibration options that the manual tells us.
