maybe we should all cut this guy some slack since he does run a Ford and he does have good taste in wheels--the SOB comment tho doesn't carry any weight in any forum, much less this one since we are mature civil people. And if someone, including HD owners want to personalize their pickup by adding L parts, so be it. My cover arrived today, once it gets installed Tues this thing will be as stock as Ford intended--until you lift the cover and see the logoed HD bedliner

Let us not remind ourselves of those famous words of Rodney King "Can't we all just get along" ????

At least he owns a Ford Truck, right ???

Ya it will look pretty cool with the HD wheels. But there are so many other choices, What made you narrow it down to the HD rims? Besides they are pimpin

Chaen: love your profile....we all had a good laugh and can relate!! Rube

Early 90's Ford Probe -- mods: stereo stolen to reduce total weight. Speed gain negligible, unfortunately.
Late 80's Honda Spree scooter -- mods: plastic milk crate tied to the back to carry one and a half bags of grocery. Custom-made cafeteria tray-like hard plastic tonneau cover to keep the grocery bags dry in rain.
'89 Honda CBR600F1 -- mods: Newtonian Physics mod, courtesy of 30 mph collision with a VW Rabbit. Suitably chagrined.
'92 Toyota 4Runner -- mods: Rugged Exterior Package, of mud and occasional dings and dents. Free of charge.
'95 Mustang GT Conv. -- mods: hey, no joking around this one. This was my baby.
'99 Lexus RX300 -- mods: Good looking girlfriend mod. Costs continues to add up. Honk and throw money.
'01 F150 Harley. mods: Beautiful gf mod climbed off Lexus and climbed on F150. Darn! (j/k, honey ) Dealer mod: an ugly dealer plate holder in front. Gotta... get it... OFF!

Red face

Sorry for the "SOB" comment, but it was aimed at the snide remarks from JaxHarley and LowRiderHD2000. I was simply providing some information to 2000F150FL, who was looking for HD replica wheels, that's the only reason I posted anything in this section anyway. I opted not to get the HD edition for several reasons. I may eventually get one, but I liked my King Ranch better. I see no reason for bashing people just for answering questions and giving out information. That's what prompted the quick reaction from me to put the two of you in your place. I lay no fault on you, though, because I see that there are many other rational HD owners that understand my reasoning.

I will no longer post anything in the HD section, since I don't have one. I will, however, post pics of my truck when I get the wheels, but that post will be in the wheels & tires section under the other HD wheels post. I am bowing out now, but will be reading the comments to me (it's quite funny actually to read how much emotion there is here )

Cool

dufunnel, you stick around and post all you want to! Enjoyed seeing you here and am sure we can all learn from you, too. This forum isn't just for people who own Harley Fords anymore than the other vehicle-specific forums restrict the postings.

I posted my coment for two reasons. 1) I was at the mall, and this guy pulled up with a regular f150. Covered with Harley stuff. Stickers and all that kind of cheap garbage. Had the badge on the side, but no rims or interior. It Looked like a super cheap HD. In Canada there very few where i'm from and that one just gave a bad name for the HD trucks. Kinda made me mad.
2) Because I've seen post on here where they have mentioned seeing HD lookalikes. It always starts quite the response build up. I could tell this one was going to get a couple people goin. So i just put some wood on the fire. No hard feelings. Just thought I would ad some excitment to my long day at work.

It's not like were saying not to do it eithier. It would probobly look pretty cool. My main wonder was though. Why of all the rims out there, what made you narrow it down to the HD??? There nice, but for the price ford charges. You could go buy aftermarkets that are way more flashy?

I said it would look "Interesting"

So that deserves me being called an "SOB".

How exactly did that "put me in my place"?

I will post pics when I get them mounted. And they are not the actual 20's, they are the replica 18's, but look exactly like the 20's. Kind of like the Lightning 20" replicas. They were MUCH cheaper and were comparable to similar chrome rims, so that's why I decided on them.

In no way am I trying to make it look like a HD edition. If I had wanted that, I would have bought one instead of my King Ranch.

Angry

I am getting the HD logo center cap because these replica wheels didn't come with center caps. Anyway, the logo is almost unrecognizable on the center caps, so no one will be able to see them.

The two of you have some serious issues if all you want to do is pick at details on this message board.

I'm with you dufunnel, some of these guys are stuck up. I think those mods sound good and want to know where you got the 18s. I guess if I had a BMW they would talk to me.

I am merely pointing out your "posts" contradict themselves. If you cannot carry on a simple conversation without looking foolish..then dont enter into it.

Its not my fault you dont mean what you say/type. However what you chose to say is exactly the opposite of what you said earlier.

Im still waiting to be "put in my place"
