Question Wheel width

Hey all,

How wide are the stock HD rims/tires? I was entertaining the thought of putting a set on my Lightning. Also, if anyone's trying to sell a set let me know.

Thanks,
Adam

The wheels are 20 X 9 and they sell them at the dealers for $1050 each. I'm not sure about the cost of the tires.

They are 9 in you can get them at karkraft.com for 795 ea, and for 1000ea. from ford. the tires are 140 ea. from tire rack. that would be cool on a lightining but i think the rims are too big. lightings over all wheel and tire size is smaller than a standard f150(i think) so you would need special tires that would be rubber band thin. or you could try it the way it is and see how it works

The Harley wheel/tire combination (275-45-20) are almost exactly the same rolling cricumferance as a stock F-150's (245-70-16's). The diameter is just under 30" with 40psi of pressure, (I prefer a stiffer sidewall as opposed to wrecking a rim on one of the many potholes around here in these parts.) The backspacing should be pretty close, and there should be PLENTY of room for your beefier brakes inside those fat tubbers. I think I even saw a guy slap some 315-60-20's on their HD. Make sure you post some pics if you do decide to do it. Oh, one last thing, the dealer (don't know how credible this information is) says the wheels will lower your tow-rating to 4000 lbs. (As opposed to the 5,000 lbs of a stock Lightning?) Don't see too many horse trailors behind "L's" anyway.
