Mine's going in the same place.
If the lid is hinged at the top and it flips up physics say it will come off when the velocity changes. In other words, when the bag is deployed the lid will go up. And, IF the emblem is going to come off it will free itself AFTER the air bag is deployed (the hinged lid stops moving) and will hit the windshield.

Thumbs up

MotorWorf, that is if it comes off at all -- even when the bag deploys! Mine is on there, big time! It is stuck. It's going to take heat, fishing line behind, etc. to get it off now. My bet is that it wouldn't come loose. I'm comfortable with it.

Speaking of plaques... does anybody know how to get ahold of the division that sent those out? I got mine but the name is incorrect and would like a corrected one. I've called ford customer service - they gave me the number that is on the paperwork about the toneau - called that number and was told they know nothing about the plaques - call customer service... (round and round)

I plan on putting mine on the airbag cover also - my boyfriend LOVES fords (has 4 of them) so if he ends up the an imprint of the plaque on his forehead - won't matter much.
