Brian,
You're going to love this truck!! The price is about 20K more than we paid here, but I don't know about prices there, so it may be a good deal. When I checked my milage at about 1000 miles on the truck, I was getting 14.75. Today, with 3500 miles on it I'm getting 15.68. I put on a K&N FIPK Gen II last Sunday, and today I filled up with Amoco gas for the first time, so I will be expecting better milage from this tank. You won't be disappointed if you buy this truck!!

i just bought a 2000 HD f150 it is great they will get about 15-16 miles per gallon if you drive mostly around town. probably better on the highway. you didnt say what year it is but either way that is too much money. here the 2000 Supercab is 32,000 MSRP but i bought mine for 27,000. the 2001 are super crews and cost more. but i think they are still only about 36,000 MSRP. i also saw one for that in the classifides here. oi dont know if the importing costs are alot over there or if that is just too much. are most american cars alot of money there? if you decide it is wort it you will love the truck it drives really nice for a truck and is nicer than any other pickup i have ever driven. (i have driven the chevy silverado, toyota tundra, dodge ram and dodge dakota)if you have any other ?s just ask we will be glad to help. good luck

Hi Brian and welcome!
You are going to love this truck and the switch from a car is going to be awesome for you. All of a sudden you will be up high and feel like king of the road. Wish I could be there with you to share in your enjoyment!
As to pricing, am sure it is different in the UK, but the US MSRP on the 2000 was $32,700 and the 2001 runs about $35K. There were a lot of people who bought early on the 2000 edition who paid over MSRP and some who bought late (after the 2001s came out) who paid considerably under MSRP.
I get 18 mpg on average because I do mostly highway driving, but you ain't buying this beauty for gas mileage!

Hey Brian. 46k is the MSRP here in British Columbia, Canada. I unloaded a 99 Mustang GT convertible when I saw my truck at the dealership. Was a little concerned as I also had never owned a pickup before. Well let me tell you that this is the best purchase out of approx. 50 vehicles I have owned. Not just the stares (snick, snick) but it is an unbelievable truck. I will never look back. Good luck

Hi Brian!
I'm in Ontario and by the time my HD-F150 is paid off it comes out to 54k cdn. and well worth every penny! I have 3020 km on it and get about the same as the others mpg. Same thing goes for me, I want to get my moneys worth before there's no gas left. I've driven cars and trucks and this one's the best by far!!!
Good Luck,
Cindy.

Hi Brian,
I'm picking mine up in Colorado on Tuesday, driving it to LA, and shipping back here to Scotland!
I've got a 2001 SuperCrew with all options (moonroof, heated seats, CD, block heater, high altitude pack, so it should be quicker!, rear window).
It's will cost me £37k with all import taxes and shipping. Yours is a good price for a 2000 model. I take it it's from Baur Millet in Manchester? We should start a UK owners club, but with only 2 members it might be a little boring.
Just had a retrax cover fitted also. Not even seen the truck yet!
Dave.

Brian: congrats on the HD purchase. I can imagine you'd get a lot of looks driving that truck in Manchester--must be pretty unique when you're sitting in traffic
I don't even want to try the currency conversion from Canadian $ to Sterling--very pricy. Curious tho whether you have left or right hand drive? And how it fits on your narrower roads? Filling the tank will definately be expensive; I'm averaging between 15 to 18 miles/gal Imperial--mainly short trips and should improve with a cover on the bed. Enjoy!
