Question Question about fog/driving lights

Has anyone upgraded their fog/driving lights on their HD? Since I have headlight covers and night driving is a bit dim, I thought it might be a good idea to see if I could upgrade my fog/driving lights to help out. Nobody seems to know what bulb it would take. Just to clear things a little, I'm talking about the round clear lights that are located in the lower airdam. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Click on Supercrew and see FALLSCREW's question on it. Numerous answers. From personal experience, stay away from those dichroic or coated bulbs, and PIAA bulbs. PIAAs are overpriced and overrated. They may make the light 'look' brighter but you actually are losing lumens. I have a website on this, as soon as I find it I'll post it.
Also make sure the lenses are glass and not plastic. A hotter bulb will melt the lens. Our 2001 is on order, so I don't have personal knowledge on the Ford. I do help spec out emergency lighting for police/EMS in our city, and have done a lot of research on it.

let us know how they work out.

Funny Story...we put 100/130 bulbs in an unmarked Ford Crown Victoria. This past summer one of our guys worked an extended accident case, where the car idled almost 3 hours with the high beams on. He went back to the car and found both headlight lenses had melted due to the heat throw off the 130 watt bulbs. We THOUGHT the lens were glass, but they were plastic.

Thumbs up

Thanks PhillyRube, I looked up the post you suggested and I think I will try the 9005 bulbs.
