Certificate/Badge question
Hey Lanna
Its funny you should mention that. Myself being one of the first to get a certificate I really never gave it any thought. My wife works for a Ford dealer and that being the case we get the best deals with the vehicles going in her name. Although this truck is hers as far as Ford is concerned its really mine.I pay for it. I take (good) care of it and I drive it(except now in winter). She drove it the day I got it which was in June and not since at her choice. She says she doesn't want to be the one to put the first scratch in it and deal with me after. So why is it this decorative plate thing never really caught my attention..? Good question!! Thanks for bringing it up!!!

Hi..
I just got the badge and certificate yesterday.. or should I say my boyfriend got one - which is the problem..
When I bought my HD I had an issue with a "glitch" on my credit report from last summer.. Previously my credit was fine and I had purchased a 1999 T/A last year - which I was trading in for the HD. Well, in order for it to be financed my boyfriend offered to co-apply with me. Well, when the dealership printed up the paperwork for the loan and such they put his name first even though they understood quite clearly that it was my truck and he was just signing to help me get it.. They said the order didn't matter as long as both of our names were on it and the registration. Anyway, the stuff from ford started being delivered in Darryl's name - and it was spelled incorrectly. I called about the jacket and spoke to the marketing dept and told them the situation and was told that they would change it to my name... and I also gave them the correct spelling of his name. I received the plaque and such yesterday - in his name and it's still spelled incorrectly. Is there anything I can do? It seems like they figured since it was a truck it had to belong to the guy,(he has his own truck.) I know, I'm pouting but I want the dash plaque to have my name on it!! any ideas?

Did you call the Ford-Harley Marketing Dept. at 1-877-783-1537 and explain the situation? They have always been very helpful to me.
Good luck!

Hi,
Well, Darryl called the Harley F-150 customer service and asked them to remove his name and replace it with mine since they mis-spelled his anyway..they said they will issue a new nameplate in my name - He's so good to me ;-)
