07harleyf150, those running boards you metioned, are they the power retractable ones by AMP Research? How do you like them? Did you install them yourself? If so was it Difficult? Where did you get them?

I pick up my 07 Harley next Friday and want to put running boards on it to make it easier to get in and out of, but don't like the looks of running boards.

Thanks

hahaha okay here's another one...

& a wider shot of the engine bay:

i had an unholy time getting the AF1 installed...VERY tight fit since the temp probe that goes into the air filter prevents the venturi adapter from sitting flush. i had to use brute force to get it all to line up. you can see in this shot too i recently added an L&S oil sep kit. new upper pulley going on next and some other goodies

well if you got the AWD and 4v engine in your truck that's a nice advantage...i only have the 2v motor but i think i may be a little lighter so it would be a good race! unless i swap out the stock blower for a 2.6L KB kit ...

the sound of the intake, blower & exhaust working in harmony is music to my ears when i accelerate...i can't imagine what other drivers are thinking when they hear me take off. it takes pretty much all my will power not to roast my tires at every intersection i'll try to get some video up one of these days...

Cant agree with you more, I love the sounds of the blower alone and I wanna hear it with that intake!!!! Video would be awsome man. Ye you are a little lighter. I saw a video online of a guy with a harley truck that had the KB or maybee even whipple install on his 03. It sounded like nothing ive ever heard before. simply sweet.

PATMAN-ye you are right I do only have the 3v. I Wish I had the 4v....Just like the Stangcobra.

doh i be huffing paint...i forgot the late model f-150's have the 3v! i keep thinking about mad's truck with the 4v Navi engine haha i don't know much about these new trucks but my bro has a '06 FX4 with AWD and it's very nice. no match for my antiquated 2v engine though when it comes to pure acceleration

yeah the KB blowers sound very aggressive...i heard the Whipples are a little more stealth like. i don't mind the whine that the stock blower makes...it gets a little loud when you mash it but considering this isn't an electric car i am okay with my engine being a little on the obnoxious side
