Hi im new hear. well i am looking to buy a 2002 s/c hd truck. does any one have any thing bad to say about them or what they like about the truck. any info. will help me. Thank you.

 

Hey personally i love the 2002-03 s/c Harley's trucks I wish I could go back in time and buy one brand new from the dealer. There are allot of those trucks on the road and very few have had engine problems, i have only heard of one guy in our tri-state area had a engine problem due to the supercharger and high milage but the dealer fixed everything. I would just make sure that the truck your looking at does not have exceptionally high miles on it. Other than that I really think that the harley's are solid trucks. Good luck in the buying process.

 

my wife and i got an '03 two-tone to replace the lightning. a 6 # pulley and a lighting rear anti-sway bar are all I would recomend (mine is still 100% stock and 200% enjoyable)

check out the NHTOC and see if anyone there hates thier Harley Truck

 

The 02/3 is a great truck.
try to find one that has obviously been looked after both inside and out and that has a service history.
A few easy performance mods and you are looking at mid 13's in the quarter

 

get a dark shadow grey one

What do you consider 'high milage' on one of these... for a 5 model year old truck...

 

IIRC, average annual mileage is around 12-15K miles/year (60-75K miles for 5 years)

 

my '03 has around 22,000 miles


I consider that fairly low mileage.
