Exclamation 35psi

The manufactory (inside door panel) recommends 35psi for the 2003 HD f150 tires.
My first set of tires wore out primarily down the center, running them at 35psi.
I'm on my second set and running them at 35psi and noticing the same pattern coming. I dropped them down to 32psi and the truck feels a lot better/smoother. I'm not sure if it will start wearing on the corners now.

Anybody else seeing this? What pressure are you maintaining your tires at?

JD

It's unusual for the tires to wear like that with the recommended pressure. Are you sure your pressure gauge is ready accurately? I find the gauge style are FAR more accurate then the stick style. The stick style gauge can show 35 PSI but the tire could have as much as 38-40 PSI. This would explain the uneven wear.

I'v always had to lower the pressure in the rear tires of my trucks as I run empy most of the time. On my 4x4 work truck I run 30 psi and it's fine.
