Does Ford finally plan on putting the 5 or 6-speed transmissions in the F150......Its going in all the other cars and Suvs, and bigger trucks too. What gives?? Trying to decided on an F150 Harley or even the F250 Harley edition, but the engine/transmissions choices suck!!

 

I don't see a manual trans in the F150's future at all.
You would lose all the towing capacity for a start.

I was talking about using even the new 5 and 6-speed automatic transmissions. The 4-speed auto seems to be a little dated in the industry.

 

There is no mention of 5 or 6 speed automatics in 07 order guides. Biggest change looks like they will be based on supercrew platform in either 4x2 or awd configuration.color choice of black or purple . new also is navigation radio and power fold mirrors.

 

Agreed. I think Ford will drop in the 6 speed automatic from the Navigator in the near future.

 

Cool---------at least they will be adding the supercrew configuration. It would be nice if they made the front a little "tougher" looking too.........like maybe changing the grill to the "tonka" style.
