looking for a billet fuel door that fits a 2001 s'crew.

I bought the one off of the Mustang for mine. You have to install it upside down, but it will work. Not sure on the part number. Bought mine off of Ebay for like $69.

if it is installed upside down will the door open the oposite direction

No, it still opens the correct way on the F150. On the Mustang, the door is on the other side. So it opens left to right. On the F150 it needs to open Right to left. Therefore, turning it over achieves that. On my 2003 Screw all I had to do was drill the 2 bolt holes larger so the door would fit flush, and get 1 longer bolt.

what holes did you drill. in the fuel door or the ones that the hinge is held on by.

The ones the hinge is held by. On my 2003 the bed interwalls are fiberglass, so it was simple with my Dremel and a sanding wheel. Not sure if your is fiberglass or metal.

I can attest to the Blackwood one. It is a simple bolt on replacement. I have it on my 2001 King Ranch Supercrew. The only drawback is it is a little difficult to open as there isn't a notch for a finger to open it (you'll have to use a key or credit card to open it).

it is not billet but I got one from Pep Boys/Autozone for $30++. Install is a direct bolt-on. There are more on ebay for much more ($80+up)
