ok well...im looking into the harley davidson f150...either in the years 00,01,02 or 03....and....well..i kno this truck has a lot of power..and with power comes an engine which consumes a lot of fuel.....so since u guys already have your harleys...how much u guys spent on gas etc...how expensive is it to have this truck...cause from wut i kno it has a dismal fuel consumption rate......thnx for ure help......(new to this forum)

 

I have a '02 HD with stock supercharged engine and I average about 11-12 mpg city no matter if I drive aggressive or not. The stock 00-01 HD's do not have supercharger so they will more than likely have better fuel mileage. Also the supercharged HD's (02-03's) only use premium gas so consider how much more you'll be paying with the gas prices in your area between the regular gas for 00-01 and premium for 02-03 HD's. On average I pay around $40 a week or more to fill up with modest driving for work and running around town.

The gas consumption depends on what kind of traveling your gonna do, and like stated before me which truck you pick. I live in NM at an elevation of 6700 ft. and I travel about 30 miles to the nearest town so I do a lot of highway miles and I get 15-17mpg. Ohh and im not very easy on the gas either, the sound of the supercharger is awesome. I own an 02 DSG HD, well happy and buying and keep us informed with what you purchase.

yeah...im going for either a 02..or 03....depending on price and everything..gas is a big concern these days...becuz up in canada....we dont go by the gallon..we go by the litre..and its upto 95 cents per litre..which is very expensive...but also i love these trucks..so scroo gas..im going for the harley..just seeing some prices..im happy that i got a friend thats father owns a ford dealership..getting some prices by tomorrow...hope to get an awesome deal...few grand off then regular customers ...so yeah ill post l8r...thnx guys

I just traded mine in because the price of gas is getting to much and I just don't want to pay for it anymore. This was not the only reason though.
