Don't have any firm numbers yet, but I've noticed that since my pulley and chip install my sunroof shade won't stay shut if I get on the gas at any speed lower than 60... Anyone know how to tighten that thing up so it will stay closed?

thanks for the reply scuba steve. i'm guessing that the mods in your sig have been done to the hd causing the trouble with the sunroof? do you have any dyno #s for the mods? i am curious about the "fms(ring and pinion are given) neumatic detriot locker". is this produced by fms? how does it work? and will it fit into a traditional 9" case(for my own toy). also does this run an open wheel center or an lsd?? 2dr lj.

I have a electric air pump mounted on the inboard side of my battery box. The line runs down the passenger frame to the rear differential. HiDust 4x4 did the gear and locker install and I have no idea exactly what it looks like. I'm no mechanic. What I do know is they charged me $1200 bucks for parts and installation, I had to have my chip reburned (again) to compensate for the speed-o difference, and when I line up I flip the toggle switch next to my adjustable pedals switch on the lower dash and it locks my differential tight enough that the inside tire chirps turning to line up at the track. Unfortunately I still can't get the thing to hook up worth a damn. I'm melting 20's for the first 60' if I get into the boost too hard off the line, which is killing my times. If I ease off the line and drop the hammer at a roll my times still suck because I lose so much being lazy off the line. Once I get my slicks mounted I'll try it again and get numbers posted. BTW, all we have here is 1/8th tracks. Two hour drive to Darlington for the closest 1/4 mile strip so all my times will always be for the 1/8th.

pneumatic?

you may want to consider getting some very tall slicks to get the truck to hook up.. 30+ inches or something...

I already ordered a set of 15X10 wagon wheels (cause they were cheap) and 275-60-15 BFG Drag Radials. Hoping they will give me the hook up I'm looking for without ringing my two piece drive shaft into two totally seperate pieces. Really looking forward to my next trip to the track!

you're gonna have to shave the calipers down to get the 15's to fit.. and you might want to look inte getting a 1 piece shaft from a 2001 HD or S Crew to replace your 2 piece unit..

also, you may want to screw the slicks to the rims..

@#$! I didn't know they wouldn't clear the damn brakes! Will 16's clear them? I think I can still change my order if 16's will do the job. As for the shaft, I'm installing a loop on the rear end of the front half and the rear end of the back half as well. If it fails there is a company in Charleston called DriveShafts Inc. on Rivers Ave that can fab a one piece unit for me from scratch. No big deal, provided I don't punch a hole in something vital during the failure...

16" rims will fit without grinding.. i run 16x10 rims with 28" tall hoosier drag slicks on my lightning..

you'll want the driveshaft loops on the front part of each shaft.. the point is if the shaft breaks in the front, it'll keep it from planting in the ground & doing a polevault.

and instead of having someone make one, you may find a used one in a junkyard, or a new one from ford for cheaper.

good luck & let us know how it runs!
