Got the Riciest Vic now!
Thanks to a lead from one of the L buddies here (thanks Craig!) got my exhaust done at Doug's Street/Speed Shop in Fair Lawn, NJ....
For a grand Doug put two high flow Magnaflow Cats on, new O2 sensors, custom X pipe, shorty Magnaflow Mufflers and complete tubing job from front to end upgraded from stock 2.25" to 2.5"...
First impressions are interesting. I think my ears are still clogged from picking it up the other day and braking it in since... but its definitely LOUDER now! (hense THUNDERvic) I have Ricers in Civics look twice after I pass to see what the hell was that.
It doesn't sound quite like a Lightning or even a Mustang for that matter... maybe it needs to be broken in more (the cats still smell after some high speed chases with ricemobiles or bikers today) but there isn't even a gargle like the mustang has when its at idle. Me and Kyle were hanging out yesterday and the Lightning with stock exhaust still kicks my Magnaflow system's ***... but I'm not complaining.
Driveability has improved in the city... take-off speed has greatly improved, but highway gives a workout for the right foot. Its weird to keep it at 80mph now, cause as soon as I take my foot off the gas it starts decelerating, and gas consumption has increased already.
Anyway, just wanted to post that yet another step in preparation to the supercharger has been done... the charger should be shipped soon, for some reason it was stuck in Cali for a month after my card was charged, I'm still wondering what the hell happened.... When thats in, I'll see you all at Englishtown, lol!
