when *bling* meets function
Man that's too easy! If you really want a challenge... load that sucker up and come out here to beautiful (
) west Texas and run at 3000 ft with air density around 5000 or so ft and stick that 12... I gotta get to sea level to run a few passes

The Pro Stock SuperBowl is next weekend at HRP. This is where the Pro Stock teams come to test before leaving for the season opener at Pomona. I will try and get out there by early afternoon, or as soon as I can. I'll bring my digital camera for some pics.

Damn, those pretty familiar
I went to the track Last night for the first time with the truck and only ran stock tires ( best of 14.5 @ 97 , 2.5 60') Havent really learned to launch it yet. I only got 2 runs in.
I was worried about putting the slicks on because I have the 2" drop shackles and was told that I could blow a U joint because now the pinon angle is off? Has anyone else heard that or know anything else about that?
Thanks

WHAT
And miss the Super Bowl? LOL Just kidding. I'm not a football, so I could care less. I was thinking of going to the new car show Sunday evening. You can see all the new stuff while everyone else watches the game. If the weather lets up, I may follow you out to the track...
The car show sucked. The *only* thing I thought was cool (way cool) was the for GT... Other than that, no new mustangs, no new L, not Dodge SRT-10, no new chevy SS, nothing... Nada, zilch... waste of $8....
I was hoping to see the new cadillac with 1000hp/1000ftlbs but that wasn't there, either...
Seems like Chicago and LA get all the good stuff and the cool concepts never show up here in H-town.

they should space the auto shows out and put a week of nothing inbetween them, that way the concepts can travel to all the shows

On the other hand, the only shafts I have heard about breaking are aluminum ones on high HP trucks. So... it may not be an issue on a stock truck. Also, it's just speculation on my part, but I wonder if the 2 piece shaft would be a little more forgiving in a twisty situation. PURELY a guess...

Some people clamp their leafs, some people use traction bars. Whatever you do, I would put some sort of device to turn that twisting of your rear end into downforce. You kill 2 birds with 1 stone: protect your shaft and get more traction.

Be sure to post when you get your times with the slicks, and hopefully I can throw some times up here too.
I am hoping for a Mid-High 13 at our decent track with the slicks
