Question Rear Shackles?

I have decided the my next mod before spring will be 2" rear shackles. My questions what is the best brand? How much? And not having the time and equipment to do it myself, how much should install run me? Thanks in advance.

Josh always says that LFP is the cheapest. Check out the supporting vendors.

yup, www.lightningforceperformance.com has the cheapest price i've seen yet for the belltechs, plus they are a supporting vendor so it helps the site also

not sure on how much for install, but i would check around or start a new post in the suspension or L forum, cuz ya dont' want to pay too much cuz with a lift, it should take about 1/2 hour max.

I was wondering the differences between Urathane and Rubber. . . Is there a large price difference, are the Urathane ones that much better?

Install the shackles yourself. It took me 2 jack stands, a jack, and 45 minutes of time... plus some wrench's. Easy stuff. Save the 65$ install cost, and buy yourself some billet goodies...

3" shackles huh? hmmmm..... maybe after i do the 1" front drop (whenever i'll find the money to do that. LoL ) i'll swap out my 2" rear shackles for 3" so the truck will still be level, but 1" lower all around

right now with just the 2" rear shackles the truck is only 1/4" higher in the back. i think with 3" rear shackles and no front drop, the rear will be too low, but with a front drop, the 3" shackels will save alot of time, money, and pain with messing with hangers and get just about the same effect

now to plant another one of those money trees

Who makes the urathane shackles and how much. Also now that I know what you need to install the shackles I might try to find some time and do it myself. But if they sit in my garage for more than a month a will dish out the $65 to get it done. I have the wire loom for my engine and my auto car starter sitting fo a combined 4-5 months now. Just not enough time in the day. I think it is the NE winter it makes everyone lazy cause there are like 4 hrs. of day light It gets you all depressed and you don't want to do nothing.

Onces spring gets here I am going to have a lot of work to do before the nationals in the spring.

ChesterC, you have not done the rear shackles yet?!

I thought that was why you bought the jack and stands. I was expecting to see that back end a little lower this Sat

HEMIUK, guess you know how testy we become when other vehicle manufacturers are mentioned, huh? LoL!
