badge removal
Just warm the badge with a hair dryer to soften the double-backed adhesive tape and take a length of fishing line (I have found 20lb works well) to act as a "blade" in pulling under the emblem and through the tape. Try to get the fishing line between the tape and the emblem to ensure no scratching of the paint. After the emblem is off, then just clean off the remaining tape, clean the surface with rubbing alcohol, and polish the area real good (unless you're going to install a new/different emblem. That's all there is to it!
if you don't install a new emblem you'll have 2 pretty little holes in the panel though
after you get the emblem off, goo gone works great for getting adhesive off the truck w/o harming the paint. then was that area with dawn dish soap and water to remove any residue from the adhesive and remover, and get any wax off, and put the new emblem on, that way it'll stick better. just be sure to wax right afterwards
