SilverStars

Just got my last present. Actually got it myself with a gift card. I got a pair of the sylvania silverstars for my headlights. I couldn't pass up the bargin. $25.00 for the pair.

Once I get a new camera I'll post some pics.

That's an excellent price for a pair. I think I paid $19.++ each a couple of months ago.

I have been "kicking myself" a little though... I am not all that satisfied with them. They are a whiter light, but not that much better/different than the stock halogens. Maybe i would notice more difference if I was out in the country away from city lights.

I am pretty happy with them so far. Have not driven with them yet but looks wise I like the light. I bought them knowing they would not make a huge difference visibility wise but I couldn't beat the price. I am planning on getting the driving lights done to so that should make a even bigger difference.

where did you get them for that price? i must have a set!

i know they won't make a very big difference at night, but the biggest reason i want them is cuz the whiter looking light when you are looking at the truck. i'm not a big fan of the stock yellow look. although alot of guys do say teh stuff is more defined at night over the yellow stock bulbs

Palumbon, keep me updated on what bulbs you get for your fogs since silverstar doesn't make a size for us

thanks!

I got them at autozone actually. They had them on a sales rack. Got lucky to because they had tons of 9004 and 9005 but I found the only 9007 they had.
PIAA has white light bulb upgrades for the driving lights on our trucks here is the link. Have a friend who is a dealer want ti see if I can get a deal. I didn't even think of him when I was looking for the headlights. He owns a car stereo store bought they also sell some accesories. I don't think he could of beat the deal I got though. See ya. Oh yeah this is the link.

not sure if i'd want to try PIAA's. Teknics from the other site had those and they both blew on him and melted something on the one fog, and he had to put the stock bulbs back in, and he said last week they just stopped working

i didn't see H1 size on that link either. just a little

I was looking into the PIAAs as well but changed my mind after hearing about Teknic's problems.
