Bad experience with RMPoutlet

I just received the autometer steering column pod and autometer boost gauge I ordered from RPMoutlet. *sigh*.

1. Pod is completely wrong. Looks like it is for a manual trans truck with the pod on the right side where the auto-shifter goes.

2. Gauge is wrong model.

I call them up to work out this problem. Paraphrasing here "That's the pod off the superduty. We have been out of the regular F150 pod, so we sent you that one instead. You should be able to make it work"

"We sent you the AUT3303 vs the AUT3301 you ordered. It is a better gauge - it can read 30lbs vs 20lbs".. If I wanted the 3303 I would have ordered it!

Their solution: I send back parts at MY cost and they will send me the other gauge. They will not cross ship or pay return shipping fees. He said "just throw a stamp on it". Sure, it gets lost in USPS and I end up not receiving a refund.

SEND IT ALL BACK!!( ask for a delivery comformation)

Order the stuff from jegs, or Summit, ETC. E-mail auto meter with the pod description that you are looking for then ask for the part #. Somebody will e-mail you back, then order away!

Or is it not that simple. (I ordered the 30 psi gauge, Whats wrong with it?)

Nothing wrong with the 30psi gauge. At most when I'm done I'll push around 12psi. Since the autometer 3301 only goes to 20, the numbers 1-20 are more spread out and easier to read the 'exact" amount.

Summit didn't have in stock the pod I wanted. I have the autometer part number for the pod I want, but RPM tried to pull a fast one.

Exclamation

I also have had a BAD experance and will not use again!
Purchased an upper pulley and was ripped for a hidden shipping fee wasn't much, but that's not the point. Seems their out for the quick sale, rather than building a soild customer base!
I've spent close to a thousand on mods, this is money they lost over a $65 item!!!

Very Very poor customer service!

Grrrr....

That must **** you off....

I bought the L set off of mrtaillight.com in September of 2001 - They sent the ranger corners for some reason so I contacted them and sent them back. ( i payed for shipping ofcourse) Then I email them and tell them I sent them and they email me back saying they have NO MORE Lightning CORNERS left. Now what!?!?!?!?!?!?!? - I try calling them and it seems to always be busy and they won't answer my emails... It sucks! doesn't it?

I bought all my mods from 'Superchips Distributer' spread out over a couple of months. Every time I called for parts, he spent no less than a half hour on the phone talking about the tune, future parts, or just about our trucks. When I didn't get instructions for my pulley, they E-mailed, faxed, and snail mailed them to me just to make sure. It feels a lot better when the guy selling you parts and tuning your baby is friendly and not just some guy taking orders driving home in a ricer.

The previous is the personal opinion of 'FLYARMY' and does not represent the opinion of www.f150online.com.

The same thing happed to me. I ordered the exact same parts and received the same parts you did. Is there any difference in the 2 pods besides the location of the gauge?

Too bad this thread didn't exist before I ordered! I disputed the charge - I'll let the credit card company work it out.
