You don't have to order the UD pulleys to get in on the group buy

I am seriously considering this mod, but what is kinda holding me back is the reliability of the fans/controllers. I would hate to be stuck stranded somewhere if either failed. Am I just worrying to much???

You can run a bypass so if the controllers go out the fan defaults to on all the time straight from the battery until you can figure out whats wrong the controllers may already be set up like that just for that reason you could call troyer and find out and then post it here when you find out

I believe that they have upgraded the controllers from the ones they had before, so they are more reliable. They are also setup independently so if one goes down for any reason, the other will still operate. I think there are a few people on here that have also installed a toggle switch in case the controllers go out. I think if you call Troyer, he will calm your fears.

Bottom line:
What is the real world HP gain from the fan?
HP gain from the pulleys?

I spoke with Troyer on Thursday and they said that there are new controllers coming in with the kits just to let anybody know.

When I was talking with Tryoer, I think he esteimated 12-20 hp for the fans, and 5-8 hp on the pulleys. MPG ingreas should see a good 1 mpg increas. Some have reported 3. I don't know this first hand, but...

we stand on the number of orders? I'm considering the purchase, but obviously want to get the group buy price. If we're there or I will put us over the edge that will really ease the decision making process.

With ENVS's order I count 7 if I add up everyone on the two threads involved.

So... with one more order I believe Troyer will start to ship all the group buy orders out. May 15th is the cut off date so hopefully we get our 8 orders by then.
