Rugby3 I have followed these posts with an admiration for all those who posted opinions, it is heart warming to see that there are people out there who think about such things. I see valid issues from each viewpoint. However, I feel a close alignment to the statement you made regarding the real reason for religion as we know it. It has bastardized itself into a tool for the manipulation of people. Right and wrong begins to hide behind it.

Very well stated. You used the K.I.S.S. method and got right to the gut of the problem.

Religion causing death, thats nothing new.

Religion is a way/tool to control the masses. In the end everything should be between right and wrong.
Very true.

I'd also add the the line between right and wrong (in religion) is very wierd line, sometimes it can be thin, sometimes blurred, sometimes both. Usually by how the religious wants to see it, or how the *high up* religious members say it is.

The breadth of knowledge and insight of the members of this board never cease to amaze me.

I wanted to thank you all for your great replies. I never intended to "Pull" anyone in to a political debate. I put this thread in the general discussions forum just for that reason, "General Discussion"

I always learn something about all of you and myself in these more serious threads. (Sometimes I learn about my truck too!)

I too believe that Oil has very little to do with it. They attacked us because of our association with Israel. Sounds like Hitler to me. So it is only fair to treat these groups the way we treated the ****'s (Not all Muslims) There for that is why I believe it has nothing to do with oil.

Now in Saddam's case I DO believe it has to do with oil for the most part.

And just so you know me a little better, my faith is in myself, my family, and friends. My faith is not in someones opinion of what they THINK their god wants for ME.

peace-
