Thats a "pretty" good idea. However, to save money I would rather have them swim on over to the island themselfs. To insure they don't screw around getting over to the island I'd have some sharks in the water...

It's funny, but I've been saying for YEARS how I think it pretty much stinks that I'm paying for prisoners to have a better lifestyle than some honest, hard working folks I've met in the "real world".

I've always thought prisoners should be forced to work (I can hear the civil liberties groups gasping now). Hey, if I don't work I don't eat, right? Probably the same with most everyone here.

I say make them work, and I agree, take away all of their perks. There should be no recreation in prison. You not there on vacation.

Thanks , I too am sick of seeing these morons in prison treated like they are special people, that they have all these EXTRA rights that most of us DONT have. For instance, why should they get any education (except GED) in jail/prison? Why should they get good HOT meals, cold meals are just as good for you.

You here some of these morons in the civil liberties groups say things like "they are people", "we should be trying to make them better people in prison", "one day they will be out and if we don't treat them good they will really be bad".

I say, SO WHAT, if you make jail/prison HARD, and HARD time they will NOT be worse on the outside, especially if its like my recommendations. Once they go through that, and make it, they will not want to go back thus they will get the idea "Follow the laws or your *** is grass."

As far as the molestors being with the general population well IF they make it out, after having BaBa time and time again they will be so worn out and sore that they will think twice about messing with kids. And no, it don't matter to me if they (child molestors) get HURT BAD in jail/prison, and it really don't matter to me if they actually make it out. If they don't its just one less repeat offender.

 

Yeah, on something like that, I think that the child molesotrs should have that taooed in a visable area. Once the other inmates saw it, that person would not make it out of prison...in one piece.

 

I think ropes will get expensive, .22 rounds are cheap and easily attainable. At the library, we will have a special sound proff room and a .22 that is checked out to all that feel the need to use it. If they are unknoledgable in firearm use, a special ops person will be on hand for any instructions or actions that need to be taken care of.

As far is working goes, if they complain, act up, dont work hard, or break a shovel, we will give them a free vacation to the special room in the library.

They will have no beds, a hard floor will do wonders to back and neck problems, and thus, a MD isn't required to be on hand.

If they use their TP at two quick of a rate, they will be givin the brown paper towl rolls as replacement.

When its sunny out, they will be moved inside to clean the floors with Q-tips, and when its rainy and cold out, they hole digging will proceed.

If a person steps out of line for the once a day meal, they will be taken to another special room (we will call this one Ted) in this room, the person will learn to respect the food that they are giving, for he will be fighting a badger for his meal.

As far as clothes go, we will wash them every full moon, and if they complain or take the clothes off, they will be sent to the washing room to wash all the clothes on each moon. If a prisoner is good and gets no bad reviews, we will wash thier clothes on each wanning and waxing moon, along with the full moon.

As far as the molestors having tatoos, in my plan regular prisoners where black and white uniforms, the molestors wear a special uniform, its color is pink and yellow, so their sweet virgin *** stands out for all the regular guys to notice....

 

So, what organizations have you found to support?

 

GED's are ok, but we should proved them with some real world sklls, such as Electical. We will skip the novis classes with batteries, and jump right into High voltage exersices. If they mess up, BAM,,,,they are fried. Another good field is crash test dummies. The testing departments could save millions not having to purchase costly dummies, we could provide them at no charge. And with these dummies, you will get real life knowledge of how the car or truck preforms in an accedent.

If they complain for some fun or recreation we will take them to Andy's thrill park. It will not be your average thrill park. How many thrill parks actually give you a thrill???? In this park, when the signs say keep all arms, hands, and legs in during the ride, we mean it. For, thier will be large razor blades above and to the sides of the car at all times. If they happen to raise a hand in thrill, they will learn. All normal coasters are fairly safe. In this one, we will place one person in one car and another person in another car, place them at opposite ends, and have a 3rd person controll steering and throttle from an undisclosed postion. Now for the 2 people in the cars, they will get a thrill.

 

We could save money in lab rats, too. Let them test all the new experimental drugs. It was done before, why not bring it back.

I used to fly in Korea and went by a prison on a regular basis. the cons were always walking in a big circle and climbing up and down two big rock piles. After several trips I noticed that the rock piles were in a different place each time. They have a real low rate of return customers.

so many people seem to agree with these ideas and yet when voting time comes around they never seem to get implemented.
maybe the politicians are too afraid they might get caught with their hand in the cookie jar and get sent to one of these horrible places. that's why they try to get them nice.

 

To be honest I wish I had a petition going. The sad fact is SO many people are followers and don't know how to speak their mind or say what they are REALLY thinking. This is a good thread, and there have been MANY excellent post to it. If some of you have read some of my other post in other thread you may or may not agree with me, or perhaps may think I am a complete ***.

I think what I started this thread about there would be an overwelming amount of people who would support it IF they were not afraid of what someone else may think of them.

For example, I will use liberals for an example. There not all bad, but most just don't get it. They have no ideas, or they want the gov't to take care of everyone. They DON'T believe anyone should be held responsible for thier actions. I could go on but I won't.

Problem is guys like me, in life, not just here speak my mind and what I really think only to be put down with stupid comments like "You are so rude" "You don't care about other people" "You like to see people suffer" "Who are you to judge another"

Well, I am me and I CAN judge others. There is nothing wrong with that. If someone molest and/or rape a child I judge him to be worthless and thus should spend the rest of his life in prison until he dies. I judge people who kill others say during a crime need to be PUNISHED with the recommendations I made in the first post.

What's funny is these people who try to make people like me feel bad and back down are very succesful at doing it because many MANY people do not speak up. Yet these same people who say stupid things as "Who are you to judge others" have already and continue to judge me, go figure...

 

40 years ago, most North American prison services followed a total hard-line attitude when dealing with offenders, this is obvious by looking back and seeing that inmates had zero rights

Fast forward to today, and we can see the pendulum has swung drastically too far in the opposite direction.
Today, thanks to the civil libertarians, inmates enjoy the due process era. and enjoy they do.
Never in our history have inmates enjoyed more rights than today.

Historically, Canadian correctional services have always followed the same mission statements as our American neighbors. (They change the wording around to make it look original) but it's all the same.

That being said, examine some of the common concepts when managing offenders:

"Inmates are punished by being sent to prison, they are not sent to prison to be punished"

While I don't agree with barbaric treatment towards inmates (Torture, beat, and inflict pain), I do think we need to get back to some middle ground, and take away some rights that have been given to the inmate population.

The only rights inmates give up while being incarcerated is that they are physically separated from the community, every other right has been given to them and it's too much.

* In Canada, they are allowed to vote in federal and provincial elections (don't know about the USA)
Why? This right should be given to only productive members of society
** This can be debated because some bum drawing welfare (when he is able to work) isn't a productive member of society either)**

* Inmates don't have to work if they don't want to (This is their right) - This should be changed! If a guy chooses not to work, fine, make him serve the entire sentence and take away any chance for early release. Take away all privileges also while he is serving his sentence.

* Inmates can have a private week-end visit with their spouse every 6 weeks in Canada (conjugal visit)
Ok, well I realize family is important to the reintegration of inmates back into the community, however, maybe they should've thought of this ahead of time. Give them one of these twice a year,

How to deal with sex offenders?
Currently, they are treated like everyone else, and in my opinion this is wrong.
Why?
Because a sex offender cannot be treated, it's in their blood, they have a taste for it, and they will yearn for that taste forever.
This is my theory.

Best treatment?
When convicted, take them behind the gravel pit, and a quick bullet behind the head will cure them for life, and ensure noone else's wife or children will ever be a victim again.

What else needs to be changed?
Make the punishment fit the crime!
It sickens me when I see a bank robber get a 14 year sentence, and then a week later, I read about a guy who molested 3 kids, and he gets 4 years. Where is the logic in that?

Our courts and legislations have gone too soft, we need to toughen up quite a bit more, and take away some of the rights these people have.

We need to find a better balance.
