I voted on Friday. In fact, I voted for a dead Democratic US Representative. Hopefully, she will win so we'll have a special election. The Republican candidate running against her is a total A$$ who isn't even supported by his own party.
Dennis,
Let me check out the logic here. bwt is an A$$ for voting for the party and not the person. You voted for a dead Democrat (the best kind I must admit) which is an obvious party only vote so I guess you are a dead A$$

Train station museums are becoming the hot thing. We also have one near here in Spencer, NC. (just doesn't sound as good as yours, Take the last Train to Spencer.) They even have an old steam locomotive that rides the shop and round-house area. Plus they have been restoring old engines there. My kids love it.

I noticed you're new here, welcome to the boards, I'm kinda new also.

Hi relatively new guys!
Here is my take on the thread.
Dennis took exception to the last line of the story:
"Moral of the Story Vote Republican"

His comment was directed at the story.
Maybe the author BWT, added the last line himself and thought the comment was directed at him.

I stopped voting Party and vote my concsious.

Dennis needs some leeway because he is outnumbered here about 30 to 1.

I don't always agree with him (if you are really a good Republican and Dennis calls you an A$$, it's a compliment)

Seems it would be easy for many to gather and drown him out.
I just don't know if that would be a good thing for us.
2 + 2 = 4 because it isn't 5.
but, there is something reassuring in hearing a voice yell "FIVE!"

Of course I voted for a dead Democrat. If I didn't and we voted for the only living candidate, a Republican, we'd be sending an A$$ to Congress. If the Democrat wins, it forces a special election where we'll have better candidates running from BOTH parties.

If it comes down to a choice of forcing a special election to get a better Congressperson, or sending an idiot, I think it's my duty to force a special election. If we sent the present Republican to Congress, he'd be an embarrassment. Not only to my state, but to the Republican party. Why should anybody vote for somebody who doesn't even have the support of his own party? You should have seen him when the current Congresswoman was in critical condition. When she died, he came out and said people should vote for him because he's living.

Lucky for us, she died after the deadline for replacing her name on the ballot as per the State Constitution. Federal law requires us to run a special election if she gets elected, so that's what we'll do and we'll send a more qualified person to Congress than the current only living candidate.

Yes, I stand by my statement. Anybody who votes purely on party lines is an A$$. We can't afford to vote by party lines anymore. As I said before, there are enough idiots in both parties to wreck this country.

A few years ago, David Duke ran as a Republican. Do you honestly think that the former head of the KKK has the best interests of the majority in mind? Do you think he would have made a good legislator?

Unhappy

Dennis, please don't post right after me.
(I never post right after you)

I could get hit by a stray.
Some of these NRA types just put it on Auto and lean on the trigger.

Dennis,

No I don't think Duke would be a good representative, but if we are going to disqualify people who were KKK leaders we are going to have to start throwing out some of your good dems. like Byrd from WV. You do know that the KKK was the militant branch of the southern Democratic party don't you?????

I did not add the last line. That was the way I recieved the story in an e mail.

I am certainly sorry Dennis gets his shorts in such a knot over his party.

See Dennis!

See how much excitement you add to what
could be an otherwise boring thread!
I love you man!

Raoul, a faithful "NRA type" always squeezes, never
leans, on the trigger!

oh,oh, he said he never did, but then he did, he did, he did..... Where's that puddy tat when you need him?

Thanks Dennis and Raoul for putting a little laughter in an otherwise dreary day in the south, exceptions made for NRA, KKK and right and left wing Donkeys and Elephants who always add a little laughter.

Vote your heart if you've got one.

I did a search on some of Dennis' posts. I don't think there is any danger of him being drowned out. He seems very opinionated and is not shy in making his opinions well known.
