Took down a Cheby
Took down a Cheby (Highlanders are beasts)
With the Highlander
Spent the evening cruising the Lakefront with beast and we didn't find one race (well, I think he took on a jeep). There either was traffic so we couldn't do anything or the person didn't run.
On the way home I stopped at a redlight an no one was around. I see a regular cab cheby truck coming up he was slowing down. Light turned green and he passed me doing like 15. I let off the brake and hit the gas some, I have to wait a few seconds before flooring it or it'll peel out. Well, I waited and hit it and still ended up squeeking the tires for a few seconds. grrrr
I caught up to them and looked over and there were three people in the truck. I gave it a little gas to start passing them. Well, I heard them floor it so I floored it. They were next to me by the time of the downshift but I was already pulling hard on them. Around 75 I was less than a car length ahead of them but decided that was enough so I shut it down. Well, they kept going and were looking at me like they won. Well, I hit it again and started to pull on them again but they slowed way down and went into a U-turn. grrrrr
You know... This highlander is a friggin beast!!! A twin turbo on this thing would friggin rock! SUV kickin' everyone's ****! Almost as bad as a Turbo Caravan runnin' 13 second 1/4s. I wonder if they have a TT for it.
Think I could take a turbo for the tundra and mount it on my highlander? The tundra is RWD while the Highlander is FWD so the engine is sideways.
I might have to get a Matrix with the same engine and rice it out
EDIT: Ohh forgot this. Earlier I when we were driving I saw a 2-door matrix just hauling butt so I wanted to go catch up to him to see what a matrix could do to the highlander. Well, I pulled up next to him and he had had his music on loud, windows down, and was singing and dancing... I'm trying to remember what the song was but it was bad... I'll post if I can think of it. He saw me looking at him in the standard "Wide Eye'd, mount open" look of shock, or should I say, amazement.
