got beat bye a CARAVAN!!!!!!!!
this was last week when i raced my friend in his mom's 93 Caravan with a 3.3L v6. I was debating whether or not i should post this cuz might be too embarrassing, but I"m over it now. Well we found an old back road and duke it out there, He sounded his horn as the signal to go and from there on bout 1/2 mile down the road where there is a stop sign he was LOOOOOOOONNGGGG!!!!! gone and me i was just purting alone stompin on the gas and just sittin there in my truck not feeling any power what so ever!!!!!!!!:o Course my truck had the 300 6 in it so I knew it was kinda doggy but damn, not this doggy
I', pretty sure the 300 6's were rated for 140 h.p but not too sure., and the 3.3 caravans were rated for 160?????? maybe. His van was just a regular caravan (not grand caravan) and front wheel drive. He was out in front of me sayin see ya later in 2 seconds and I"m just in my Ford just chuggin along. My friends bottom end on the van was amazing and he peeled his tires like no ones business and 10ft of rubber on the pavment. It was about 85 that day and dry like the Arizona desert(NEED RAIN!!!!) Well I know now that if i got defeated bye a family veichcle I know now that the only thing i really can beat is VW bug or a metro. This IS a true story and to this day I laugh at it and last week I was ashamed of it. Course my rearend is 3:08 with 140 h.p and he has mo powaaa and bogs more of bottom end.

F-150_91, don't sweat it. No matter how fast we can go there will always be something faster. If you've got the 300ci with the auto, you'll do better at pulling weight than winning races.

I had a 83 buick LeSabre with the 307 in it, thought it would be funny to race a guy I worked with in his minivan. I wanna say it was an Astro, it had a V6. Anyway, he had 6 people in the thing and I had 5 in the buick. The light turned green and I floored it, I looked pretty stupid. Once I was across the intersection he was about 6 lengths in front of me.
Of course that Buick was 4300lbs and did 45 in first gear. I didn't stand a chance.

I bought my wife a 2002 Grand Caravan EX with the 3.8 rated at 225 HP! This thing hauls you know what! The EX has front and rear anti sway bars, 4 wheel discs, limited slip, michellens on alloy rims and 3 power doors!
I freak the ricers out all the time by dusting them at lights!
one drawback to the 3.8 lousy gas mileage! If I coast a lot I can get 19-20 mpg but usually it is around 17-18!
