Talking I just got a new truck...

This is my first post on this forum and I just wanted to say I'm here. I just got a 95 F150 5.0, eddie bauer with a regular cab and bed, 2WD. Is there anything I should be aware of? Whats the biggest stock tire size I can put on it? What the best way to go about learning about my truck? I am very happy with my truck and it seems to have plenty of capabilities for me. What are the best (cheapest) mods I can do to the engine?

Before this truck I had a nice lifted grand cherokee that I put quite a bit of effort into, but now I'm moving on. I mostly built my Jeep with help from Jeepsunlimited.com so I know how vehicle forums go. I'm very aware of modification fevor.

Thanks for any input
Jon

welcome. if you want to learn about the truck, read up on messageboards like these, theyre full if info. as far as mods, check out the pre-97 section of the messageboards, we're always talking about mods and stuff there for our "slightly" older style trucks.

Welcome aboard! I'm not as up on my older F-150s as I am on the newer ones, but donate54 knows his stuff about the "slightly older" trucks. If you can't get any responses in the pre-97 forum, feel free to try your luck elsewhere.

Welcome. Donate is right goto the pre 97 sections thats where all us old guys hang out. But you made a good choice with the 5.0, I love mine. And just because shes older dont let her fool you. These trucks can run. I have intake exhaust and chip and since I installed my chip today, the trucks performance is just "kick ***." Read up my threads on the chip and you will be a believer. This old girl still has plenty of power in her.
