Lincoln Blackwood

Have any of you guys (or gals) seen this vehicle? We saw it when we were looking at the Mercury Maurader the other day. I'll try to find the link...

The cost? $51K...

I think that's officially the most expensive pick-up that I've ever seen! And it only seats 4!!

It's pretty sharp in person up close though.

It only seats two if they have their wallets with them.

What's the difference?

What makes the Blackwood so much different that a Harley Davidson Edition? I was watching the truck show on TNN and they were reviewing the Escalade. Chevy claims that the Escalade Truck has substantially different insides than the Avalanche. Is the Blackwood truck so much different from a higher end F-150 to justify a $52K price tag?

One last thing, what does one haul in a Blackwood? Obviously, lumbar, gravel and cinder blocks are not likely. Is this the vehicle for moving higher end items like an armoire or an antique piano? Cases of fine wine? Organic Feed for specialty animals?

It's like a Porsche. It's a status symbol. No one is selling them for 52K either. I have seen them going for 10 to 12K off sticker. Anyone who can afford one can also afford to purchase a used truck to haul things that would scuff the stainless steel. It would be a tragedy to put a scratch in the bed of a Blackwood.

Evening Girls/Guys:

If you go to the Blackwood thread on this board, you will see the beginning, and maybe with only two owners posting, the end of the Blackwood story.
Jim and I are trying to keep things going without getting too boring hoping a few other owners will chime in.
