I'm planning on ordering a 2003 F150 4x4. With all the trimmings that I want, it comes out pretty darn high, 27000. The dealers in Austin, Houston and Dallas don't have the 2002 model that I want (4.6 with 5speed), hence, I'll have to order and miss out on the 2002 rebates.

Does anyone think I should go ahead and order it now or will there be rebates soon for the 2003?

If I were you then I would take a look around dealerships nearby because they will be able to drop the price of an 02 more then an 03s. If you really want an 03 then I would say go ahead and order only if you can get 0% financing or an X plan on it. Also, haggle with them on the price! $27000 is a lot of money for an F150. Iam sure you can probably get it down to like $25000.

 

I went ahead and ordered the '03 from Marc Twyman at Texan Ford. I asked for $500 above invoice and he gave it to me. Maybe I could have gone lower, but I'm not good at talking down prices. At least it is ~3000 below sticker. I had checked a lot of dealerships in Austin and Houston and nobody had a 4.6L 5speed 4x4. No info on '03 rebates as of now, but he said he'll add them in if there are any when my truck comes in. I'll be a proud owner soon (8 weeks), woohoo!
