I've been a member here since May of 99 I have visted the other site off and on to get some of there how to info then they made that for members only so I joined over there 2 but I vist this site more often and post more over here both sites are great they both have there good points. I've met a few of the members on the other site at a chapter meet we had in Memphis all them didn't know about this site until they seen my sticker on my back window I don't know if any of them checked this site out yet but they know about it now.

Things that make you (ok - me) go HUH?

Now I wonder who Jeff (F150RamAir) means when he says "some people" crack him up? I'm thinking of 1 person only, someone who is NEVER afraid to come right out & speak their mind & disagree when it's necessary. Could it possibly be me? Gee, I wonder!
As for speed & reliability, THIS site wins hands down for me. I won't presume to speak for others but I never have problems here - the other site(s) are frequently experiencing "technical difficulties" in 1 area or another. Maybe the fact that this webmaster has JUST the 1 site to devote his time & personal finances to is the crucial factor. When you consider this is a private venture, as opposed to say, oh I don't know - a "corporation" where the SOLE purpose is to make money for 1 person only, this site is far more advanced & well maintained. I think, I'm not sure but I'm guessing that, since this site is dedicated to serving it's members, the "little guys & girls" who made the site a success it's better managed & run. Once 1 ventures into the "corporate" world they tend to forget their original mission statement & humble beginnings & just see the "bottom line" - how rich they can get off OTHERS hard earned money.
I for 1 would prefer to know that I matter - that we ALL matter here & are not just a "notch" in the good ol' membership belt as some seem to view things.
Let's see - if I cracked some of the guys up before, they must be rolling on the floor right about now! Enjoy! Glad I can be so amusing! Next show is to be announced! ROFL! LOL!

I also like both sites equally, I think both Steve and Chris have done fine jobs and I have learned quite a lot from the gracious people on both sites. No need to trash talk or talk down about either one!

Boy, that guy is a gentleman and a scholar.
I only hope when I grow up I can be like him.

cowlady, IMO jeff was talking about you and i gotta say i agree with him a little. the world name changed cause it's a site about ford trucks, just as this one is. sure chris can probably gain more members by and get the mag out better by changing the name of the site to fordtruckworld.com and i applaud him for it. i would do the same. it seemed that you took the change personally.

i don't see the point of bashing a site, if you like one more than the other that's ok, but you kinda bashed it and that's fine, it's your opinion.

every site is different and has it's own issues. i like world and i like this site. i go to each one of them for different things. i tend to go to the pre 97 forum here cause it's a great forum with great people.

BTW, you went off onme and the guys at carlisle for no reason. i made it obvious what i was doing all the time. i invited people back to my hotle to go in the pool. but yet you kinda yelled at me and i don't think i deserved it. it's not my job to make sure everybody knows what everybody else is doing.

i just think you could said the same thing a little more diplomatic. you didn't have to bash world!!!!!!

Well we all have the rights to our opions and im not gonna knock that. But to bash something that your a part of, for whatever reason......is uncalled for and rude. If you dont like something dont participate. I can go on and on but I wont. -TeK

-----yawn----- wake me up when everyone grows up.

I started out here but went over there because I was able to do things there that I couldn't here in regards to organizing a chapter. I still came to both sites at first but that was too much and I was getting more out of the other site so that is where I have been. Also the focus of the forums here seems to be nothing but lightnings (great truck but I am an off-roader and any time I said anything about offroading i get nothing in the way of response.) I have no problems with anyone spending time here and if I am looking for some info and I can't find it there I will check here and any other place I can find. I think that is about all the comment that this topic deserves.

While it started out with good intentions, I'm fairly certain that this thread is going to bring out a few trolls now. It's time to close it.
