Hard to find a pic of a Texas Crown Vic for some reason. Ours are the same, but have a multitude of paint schemes. The solid black Texas state trooper is my favorite, if I have to have a favorite,,,,98

Cool

Just as an interesting side note: Portland area Crown Vic police cars have brush guards, just like a truck would. I mean they have the outriggers for the headlights and everything. I'll try to snap a pic of one if I can.,,,,,98

Ok, first let me say I stand corrected about the 100,000 police number I through out there before and then said I can't see Texas having 25,000 Crown Vic's as police cars. I was thinking about how they wanted to put 100,000 "more" police on the street added to the numbers we already have in the USA. It does still seem like a large number but then Texas is one of the biggest states as well, so anyhow I am sure my first post was wrong.

Second, If those cars in the post above are Crown Vic's either they look MUCH MUCH better in photo's or I am thinking about the wrong car when I called them ULGY. Those are some of the coolest cars I have seen in the post above, especially the one smoking. The only good looking police cars, in my opinion, are when they are parked and empty then what ever they are they look very very good

XLT Sport,

You might be thinking of the Chevy Caprices that were phased out a few years ago by GM. There are still a few around here anyway.

No, those were great man. It was the first American V8 I drove in.
It was a taxi cab driving me from the trainstation to the army base.
That was almost 20 years ago.
I really liked the Caprice models.
