I was recently told that I am being transferred to Northern Chicago. After seeing the horrendus prices of places to live their I have decided to live in Kenosha and commute each day. My question is are their any sides of town that I should avoid? I don't mind the price of houses as much but I don't want to have my car stolen. Thanks for the help. And welcome to the area. I live in Lake Villa which is close to Kenosha. I don't know tha area well but I imagine most of the places are safe. It's kinda rural. Beefcake2002L might know better as he lives in Milwaukee. what company are you going to be working for?

Thanks for the help. I have already been in contact with beefcake2002L about some other info so maybe I will ask him as well. I work for IBM. I will actually be working in Vernon Hills in Illinois but refuse to pay the outrageous prices for apartments. The drive ain't so bad so I figured that was the best option. Thanks again.

 

I work in Vh as well. Welcome to the neighborhood. Yes the cost of housing and apts has risen quite a bit recently, that's why i live in LV which is still kinda high.
