Fourwheelers?

I am planning on buying a fourwheeler at the end of summer, but not sure which one is better than the other, I was thinking about either the Yamaha Banshee, Raptor 660R, or the new Bombardier 600 or whatever, which has its ups and downs? reliability? I am a pretty expierenced rider, been riding 4wheelers since I was about 3, I sold my last fourwheeler, 300EX, because I didn't ride it as much as I used to, now I miss riding soo much, i'm not sure if I can wait untill the end of summer. Any info would be great! Thanks in Advance!!

what kind of terrain do you plan on driving in? ie - where do you live?

Moutainous, swampy, thick forrests, dry/sand, etc...

Are you looking for speed or slower rough terrain riding?

Also, is it just for riding, or utility also? I own 4 4-wheelers, 2 polaris and 2 kawasaki... Each one is better suited for different tasks... though, my polaris's are my favorites... easily the toughest workhorses. I have one of my polaris's at my dad's ranch in Montana, and no other 4-wheeler can touch the polaris when it comes to climbing up and down the hills... no shifting means I never run out of power climbing a hill and I'm always in the right gear when descending.

anyhow, more info would help in the opinion giving...

Sorry about that, I ride in the dry/sand areas, i do jumps and whatnot also. Speed is important i guess, we have a track right here near my house so we do a little bit of racing too, the 300EX couldn't keep up with some of those quads out their.

Get the Raptor, I've got a 2001 YZF426. the raptor's engine is based on the same engine thats in my bike due to that when the 2000 model came out people were buying the 426 just to take the engine out and mount it in their 4wheelers, the engine is just crazy.

Thumbs up Banshee for you

If you're going to be riding sand and what not, the Banshee is for you. I've got one right now that's built up a bit but since most of the riding I do is woods, I'm selling it to get a 4 stroke. It's just too hard to ride through the woods with the front end off the ground constantly. LOL

Hey my middle name is Lee too, what a coincedence(sp?), anyways, all I do is open spaced sand riding, so I would be better off getting a Banshee over the other two ATV's?

Brand new they're about $6000 but you can plan on spending another $2000 on extras to make it shread.

I run a 00 Banshee with Toomey pipes, radiator, carbon reeds, Renthal.......... ahhh, what the hell, to much to list. I would go with the Banshee. Two-stroke fun! Many things to think about though. Do you want reverse, elec. start, suspension? Just look at them all. In my oppinion, a piped 4 stroke just sounds like a wet fart.

Wink

I could carless if I have reverse or not, thats why we have feet, to push ourself backwards Elec. start, who needs it? All I need is something fast and fun! I'm leaning towards the Banshee a lot right now. Wow, what a surprise LOL

Exactly how high maintenance(sp?) are the Banshee's? What will I have to do to keep it in good running condition? How often should I get an oil change and whatnot?
