Padding your post count?
gee, and I really thought they only playing a word/picture game
Does a high post count work anything like frequent flyer points towards a free tee shirt or something?

A month or two ago there was rampant post padding in this GD Forum. As a result the webmaster made it so that posts in this forum no longer contribute to the member's post count. So anything like "I Spy" or the "Word Game" is purely for fun now.
as I would expect them to be.
I just don't 'get' the whole deal, I mean what's the benifits of a high post count?
Will people think I have a better understanding of Ford trucks if my count is high?
Well, come to think of it maybe you got something there. I have learned a lot off these boards and I thank you all for it
Now if I could just get a digi cam and learn how to post some PICS . . .

Yah I dont really get it either...the number of posts a person has made has nothing to do with their worth nor is it a real representation of their knowledge. All it really shows is how much time a person spends on here.
Post count means nothing to me. Maybe Steve should set it up so spam posts subtract 5 off the count.
MN4X4 nailed it.. nothing to do with a persons knowledge regardless. I often see people with very low post counts make great point, and people with high post counts proving they can write dribble frequently....

dribble dribble.............Who cares how many posts a person has ?I certainly don't. All I ever do is offer or ask for good sound advice,it doesn't matter to me that the person giving the advice could only have 2 posts, after all he/she could be a master mechanic that just found these forums.....
